Accessibility Statement
Effective October 19, 2026
The short version
- We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard public schools follow, across this website and our resources.
- If any page or file doesn't work for you, email us and we'll provide an accessible version.
Our commitment
Many of the people who use our resources, and many of the students they serve, have disabilities. We want every resource to work for every educator and family, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we do
- Readable design: strong color contrast, clear headings, and text-based labels. Color is never the only way information is shown; for example, deadline statuses in the Command Center appear as words as well as colors.
- Readable fonts: student-facing materials use Lexend, a font designed for easier reading.
- Editable versions: most resources come as editable Google Docs, Slides, or Sheets, which work with common screen readers and let you enlarge text or change formatting.
- Website: keyboard-friendly navigation, labeled form fields, and descriptive image text.
Where we're still improving
- Some printable data sheets are designed to be filled in by hand. Editable versions are available for typing instead.
- We're working to provide fully tagged PDFs for every resource. If you need one now, ask and we'll prepare it.
Request an accessible format
Email info@functionfrst.com with the resource name and what you need. We'll respond within two school days and provide an accessible version, at no cost, as quickly as we can.
Feedback
If you find a barrier on this website or in any resource, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as bugs to fix, not suggestions.
